TEHRAN, Jul. 08 (MNA) – Large crowds of people attended the massive celebration party which was held in Iran's Yazd on Friday.

Similar ceremonies were also held in different Iranian cities with the participation of millions of people.

Eid al-Ghadir, the day on which Imam Ali (AS) was chosen by God as the successor of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is an Islamic commemorative holiday and is considered to be among the significant holidays of Shi'ite Muslims.
